Formatting Help

Flynote allows you to do some basic formatting of your notes.

1. Boldface. In order to bold a length of text, you can bracket the text with asterisks, as in the following example:

Entering the following text, with the bold formatting rule,
"The *quick brown fox* jumps over the lazy dog."
will yield the following formatting:
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

2. Italics. In order to italicize a length of text, you can bracket the text with curly brackets, as in the following example:

Entering the following text, with the italics formatting rule,
"The {quick brown fox} jumps over the lazy dog."
will yield the following formatting:
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

3. Image insert (advanced). In order to insert an image into your note, bracket the web address of the image between exclamation marks as in the following example:

The image must already exist somewhere else on the web. Currently there is no mechanism for uploading your images to flynote.com. If you would like to insert an image that you have on your computer, flynote recommends the following free image hosting services:

4. Link insert (advanced). In order to insert a link into your note, bracket the viewable website name in quotes, follow this with a colon, and then place the full url as in the following example:

"Google":http://www.google.com
will yield the following active link:
Google
