The mainlands and islands of Greece see markedly different weather. Spring, especially, brings with the scent of wildflowers and an opportunity to partake in swimming as the oceans are calm and warm after the heat of the summers subsides. The islands of Greece, however, see peak tourist traffic in the months of summer during August and July. The prices reach a peak high in spite of the weather being less than ideal and temperatures touching 40 Degrees.
June to mid-September is the best time to visit Greece. This is when the temperatures are higher and travellers from all over the world flock over to the islands. The sea also remains calm and warm during these months.
